Margaret Rebecca Poplin Dick, 94, of Albemarle passed away Friday, November 02, 2018 at Forrest Oaks Nursing Center. A private family service will be held to honor Mrs. Dick’s life.
Born June 3, 1924 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster and Anna Prinze Hooks Poplin. Mrs. Dick worked in retail sales at Belk and was a member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church. She loved nature and music.
Mrs. Dick was preceded in death by her husband Harold McKeever Dick on January 5, 1972. Survivors include three sons Barry Dick, Jimmy Dick, and Roger Dick all of Albemarle, daughter Peggy Jean Dick of Albemarle, grandchildren Misty Vaughn, Harold M. Dick, Brian Dick, Jennifer Shealy, Michelle Dick, Natalie Dick, Harlan Dick, Craig Williams, Sherrie Ferrell, Granseur Dick and CiCi Dick. She was preceded in death by a son Wayne Dick and by three grandchildren Jonathan M. Dick, Starla Dawn Dick and Jessica Marie Dick.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial be made to Pfeiffer University Center for Health Science, Office of Advancement, PO Box 960, Misenheimer, NC 28109-0960.

I was so sad to hear of Margaret’s passing. She was such a dear, sweet lady who was always smiling and stopped to talk to me every time I saw her. Thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort for all of you.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Margarets passing. We only had little contact in the past several decades but I always thought she was such a sweet lady. Wish I’d have gotten to know her better. My condolences to her immediate family. I’m the last of her brother Sams children. Love, Debbie
