May God surround the family with his Peace and Comfort.
I knew Boyd Sr. Well, and have been gone from Locust so many years, that I don’t know the children of my age group, but it doesn’t stop me from sharing God love for us all, even in times of sorrow.
It is what was shared with me at my parents passing, and gave me comfort.
May God Bless all the family, and surround them with Love.

Just as Boyd made an impact in the lives of many, he will never be forgotten. If he can do all that he did, our excuses are nothing but silly. Prayers for all of the family.

You all know that he was my hero in life, and he kept me going through all the hard times I had dealing with kidney failure. One look at Boyd and how he fought through his disability, and all my problems melted away. We were very close and many times he told me I was like his brother. I WILL FOREVER MISS MY DEAR FRIEND!!!

Boyd, Jr was an outstanding young man throughout his life. Knowing him from his young years, and seeing his determined attitude, made us so proud of him. He was always so friendly, and supportive with his caring way he portrayed his self. He has been our family friend all through the years. He has become a very special friend, seeing him often, how he cared for his wife and his mother, made him more special. He will be missed by us all.

I met Boyd many years ago when he was a camper at Camp Sky Ranch where my mother and grandmother were the cooks. Fast forward to present day and a few years ago I saw him walking through Carolina Mall in Concord. On a whim I checked to see if he was on fb and we reconnected. We had a great time talking and he told me that my grandmothers cooking was what he looked forward to most at camp and boy could he put away some food. I also remember him playing guitar and singing around the campfire and his mop of curly blond hair. So glad we caught up with one another and I will miss him dearly. Condolences and many prayers to the family.

You transformed me, you made me believe in myself, you use to tell me look up at the light while training! You uplifted me Boyd! Now your in the light watching over us,… The day you passed I was on my way to see you, and then I felt you smile…cause you were telling me something…a phone call lead to a smile as well on my side cause then I realized why you always said look up at the light! Your my light I love you!

Stanly overwhelmingly met or exceeded our family’s expectations. Family and friends both expressed how thoughtful, caring and professional they were. We’re glad you’re in Locust!

We never felt hurried or rushed in any way even though they had other funerals that day.  Everyone at Stanly Funeral Home made us feel like we were family and did everything they could for us in this most trying time in our lives.

-RP

Everyone went out of their way to make sure that every detail was good with me.  Their kindness, patience and love they show is superior.  Stephen Aldridge and his ENTIRE staff are the best.

-DBN

The whole staff was wonderful but Stephen Aldridge was excellent, even sending us a note one month later.
