Donna Kay Eckstein

Donna Kay Eckstein, 64, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Sunday July 29, 2018 at the Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC. Her funeral service will be 4 PM Thursday August 2, 2018 in Parkers Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Utley, Evangelist Mitch Canupp and Evangelist Dennis Schenck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 4 PM at Parkers Memorial Baptist Church prior to the service.

Donna was born April 27, 1954 in Rowan County, NC and was the daughter of Ruth Reid of Salisbury, NC and the late Walter Reid. She was a homemaker and a member of New Vine Baptist Church.

Mrs. Eckstein is survived by her husband Rev. Kay Ernest Eckstein of the home. Other survivors include a son Todd Arthur Eckstein (Dana) of Ripon, WI; daughter April Tennille Auman (John) of Albemarle, NC; two brothers Jeff Reid and Buck Reid both of Kannapolis, NC; sister Sherry Brown of Salisbury, NC; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to New Vine Baptist Church, 24719 Austin Road, Albemarle, NC 28001.

Everyone went out of their way to make sure that every detail was good with me.  Their kindness, patience and love they show is superior.  Stephen Aldridge and his ENTIRE staff are the best.


The whole staff was wonderful but Stephen Aldridge was excellent, even sending us a note one month later.
