I worked with Eric as a co manager at Rite Aides Distribution Center. During that time I lost my first husband and became a widow. Eric was one of the few people who could still bring a smile to my face. He had an energy that drawed you in and such a contagious smile and laugh! I am deeply saddened for your loss and I know no words will comfort you during this time but know that I am praying for your family. I was very angry with God at one point but there is a verse that after several months brought me comfort. “Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again, and you will rejoice, and no one will be able to take away your joy.” You will see Eric again, imagine him saying this to you now.

I am deeply stunned hearing the news of Eric’s passing. I’ve know him since I moved to Endwell at the beginning of JR High School. What a bright light he was. I am guessing but believe I first met Eric when he was 2 years old. To me, Eric was the adorable, sweet little brother of my friend Lenore. For a time during our childhood, Eric’s home was like my second home and one I loved to visit. It was made wonderful by Lenore, Eric, their other brothers and sisters and the best chocolate chip cookies I have had in my life. I am so sorry for the family’s loss.

I remember when my dad pass away back in May . ERIC told my supervisor Jay, to notify me that I can travel back to Africa to visit my family and anytime I return from my trip the Job is still going to be available. That shows how wonderful and appreciative he was to we the employees .We LOVE YOU ERIC , but GOD love you the most . REST WELL.

I had the pleasure of working with Eric starting in August at Big Rock Sports in Hamlet. Not a day went by that he did not greet me and ask if everything was going okay. I noticed that he always treated everyone as if they were family and never made anyone feel as if he was better than them. He always had a very contagious smile on his face and energy unlike anyone I have ever seen. When we received the news about his passing everyone was and still is, in complete disbelief . He touched so many hearts here and also mine in my short time knowing him. I am praying for all of his family and also for peace and understanding during this hard time. Thank you Eric for being such an amazing person.

    With greatest sympathy,
    Chasity

Stanly overwhelmingly met or exceeded our family’s expectations. Family and friends both expressed how thoughtful, caring and professional they were. We’re glad you’re in Locust!

We never felt hurried or rushed in any way even though they had other funerals that day.  Everyone at Stanly Funeral Home made us feel like we were family and did everything they could for us in this most trying time in our lives.

-RP

Everyone went out of their way to make sure that every detail was good with me.  Their kindness, patience and love they show is superior.  Stephen Aldridge and his ENTIRE staff are the best.

-DBN

The whole staff was wonderful but Stephen Aldridge was excellent, even sending us a note one month later.
