Celebrating The Life Of Loved Ones

Eris M. Hinson

Eris M. Hinson, 94, of Albemarle passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Carolinas Healthcare System Northeast in Concord.  A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Fairview Memorial Park with Rev. Jacob Waldrip officiating.  The family will greet friends in the cemetery following the service.

Born November 30, 1924 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. Crisco and Clita Russell Crisco.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Albemarle and worked as a seamstress for Dun Rite Laundry in Albemarle.  She loved to quilt and over her lifetime she hand made and gifted many quilts to family and friends.  She loved her cats and hummingbirds and always kept her hummingbird feeders filled.   Her father was Sheriff of Stanly County from 1930 to 1936 and along with her family lived in the Stanly County Jail during that time.  Throughout her whole life she felt close ties to the Stanly County Sheriff’s office.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by sons Arlie Jerry Myers (Jane) of Albemarle, Richard Kent Myers (Anne) of Richfield, sisters Geraldine Causby of Albemarle, Vanonda Hamby of Salisbury and brother Franklin Crisco of Albemarle, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters, a son Steve Crisco, and two husbands, Arlie W. Myers and Joe T. Hinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 202 N. Second  St., Albemarle, NC 28001.

Stanly overwhelmingly met or exceeded our family’s expectations. Family and friends both expressed how thoughtful, caring and professional they were. We’re glad you’re in Locust!

We never felt hurried or rushed in any way even though they had other funerals that day.  Everyone at Stanly Funeral Home made us feel like we were family and did everything they could for us in this most trying time in our lives.

Everyone went out of their way to make sure that every detail was good with me.  Their kindness, patience and love they show is superior.  Stephen Aldridge and his ENTIRE staff are the best.

The whole staff was wonderful but Stephen Aldridge was excellent, even sending us a note one month later.
