Norma Jean Burris Easley

Norma Jean Burris Easley, 86, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday May 3, 2018 in Stanly Manor. Her funeral service will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at South Albemarle Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Laws officiating. Burial will follow at Harwards Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care of Albemarle.

Norma was born December 11, 1931 in Stanly County, NC and was the daughter of the late Henry Frank Burris and Mary Agnes Talbert Burris. She was a retired employee of Family Cafeteria and attended of South Albemarle Baptist Church.

Mrs. Easley was preceded in death by her husband Fred Larry Easley, grandson Michael Walls, son-in-law Larry Huneycutt, and a brother Harlan Burris. Survivors include two daughters Norma Diane Huneycutt of Albemarle, NC and Sheila Jean Walls of Taylorsville, NC; a brother Jimmy Dwight Burris of Thomasville, NC; two sisters Edith Eudy and Brenda Poplin both of Norwood, NC; 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; and a special friend Lib Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County at 5003 Hospice Ln, Kannapolis, NC 28081

We never felt hurried or rushed in any way even though they had other funerals that day.  Everyone at Stanly Funeral Home made us feel like we were family and did everything they could for us in this most trying time in our lives.
