I grew up with Ray & Fay on Willow Hill along with his cousin James Carriker, Wayne & Bill Kearns, Joey & Brenda Hicks, and all the other kids on Willow St.. It was a great time to grow up in Badin during the 50’s & 60’s . During the long hot summers we all played endless games of Rook, Canasta, and Monopoly on the Carriker’s screened in front porch. Ray was always the partner you wanted when playing cards because he almost always won. My sincere sympathies to his wife, children, and grandchildren for their loss.

So sorry to hear of the passing of cousin Ray. My mom (Betty Blalock Almond) and Ray were first cousins. Guess I remember him best from years ago when he would attend the Lanier reunions. Lot if fun and good food at those. I know he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers for all of his family.

I am sorry to hear of Ray’s passing. I was a first cousin on his mother side. Aunt Floria, his mother was my father’s , Carl Alfred Huneycutt’s, sister. I remember Ray and Fay years ago when we were young. I remember going to their house on Willow street in.Badin. Good memories!!!

Stanly overwhelmingly met or exceeded our family’s expectations. Family and friends both expressed how thoughtful, caring and professional they were. We’re glad you’re in Locust!

We never felt hurried or rushed in any way even though they had other funerals that day.  Everyone at Stanly Funeral Home made us feel like we were family and did everything they could for us in this most trying time in our lives.

Everyone went out of their way to make sure that every detail was good with me.  Their kindness, patience and love they show is superior.  Stephen Aldridge and his ENTIRE staff are the best.

-DBN

The whole staff was wonderful but Stephen Aldridge was excellent, even sending us a note one month later.
