Baxter Ray Lanier, 73, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, January, 24, 2021 at Atrium Health Pineville, Charlotte, NC. His memorial service will be 3pm on February 7, 2021 at Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Leslie Ray Lanier officiating.
Mr. Lanier was born July 4, 1947 Stanly County, NC, son of the late Leslie Ciscaro Lanier and Flora Anita Huneycutt Lanier. Baxter was a member of Charity Baptist Church. He was a avid fisher, deer hunter, motorcycle rider and he especially loved his family.
Baxter is survived by his wife Kathy Laverne Burris Lanier of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Leslie Ray Lanier (Teresa) of Norwood, NC and Steven Ray Lanier of Albemarle, NC; two grandchildren, Derek Lanier and Amanda Lynn Vanderburg and great grandchildren, Kayden Vanderburg, Kamya Vanderburg, Lexi Lanier, Chance Lanier and Adaley Lanier.
