Mrs. Faulkner was a wonderful teacher. I was one of her students at Oakboro Elementary School. She had such a sweet and gentle spirit about her. At the time she came to Oakboro, she was very young and so beautiful and different from the many older teachers. Just seemed like a breath of fresh air. Plus I believe I remember her driving a white Corvette and having a very handsome husband too. I have fond memories of her. I will be praying for God’s comfort and peace for family and friends.

I have always enjoyed being around Josie, she was always so energetic. I remember working out with her and liked watching her technique. She is one of the most selfless people I know. Praying for her family, church family and friends.

I have known Josie a long time and her kindness… When we were young we rode the same school bus and went to school together….My daughter was in a special class in school and Josie helped get her placed in a school near by…. That was the kind of person she was always ready to help… Prayers for the family…. I will never forget her kindness……

Josie has joined the angels, but her impact here will always positively affect many, many individuals and especially the Stanly County School System. One of, if not the brightest individual I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her quiet unassuming persona made the rest of us feel comfortable in her presence. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family. Josie was a very special lady, one I feel fortunate to have known .

I worked with Josie in 1974 when I started at Oakboro School. Jodie is one year older than my son. Josie and I took both of them to ice skating lessons at Eastland Mall. I also worked with her later at Stanfield School. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I was lucky enough to briefly see her at the Aquadale School Fall Festival last year. I am so sad she is gone but comforted she is suffering no more. I love you Josie! Blessings to her family!

Stanly overwhelmingly met or exceeded our family’s expectations. Family and friends both expressed how thoughtful, caring and professional they were. We’re glad you’re in Locust!

We never felt hurried or rushed in any way even though they had other funerals that day.  Everyone at Stanly Funeral Home made us feel like we were family and did everything they could for us in this most trying time in our lives.

Everyone went out of their way to make sure that every detail was good with me.  Their kindness, patience and love they show is superior.  Stephen Aldridge and his ENTIRE staff are the best.

The whole staff was wonderful but Stephen Aldridge was excellent, even sending us a note one month later.
