Celebrating The Life Of Loved Ones

Pamela (Pam) Coggin

Pamela (Pam) Coggin, 69, of New London, NC passed away peacefully at home June 2nd, 2020.  Born March 14th, 1951 to Dodson and Rachel Lowder of Stanly County, NC she graduated from Albemarle High School in 1969 and attended the University of North Carolina Charlotte, graduating in 1975 with a BA in Early Childhood Education.

Pam worked at Millingport Elementary School until the family opened Custom Creations, Inc. of which she was the Secretary-Treasurer until her passing.  Though she genuinely enjoyed helping her husband Charles develop, plan and build custom homes – her pride and joy was opening Custom Cruises and Travel. Pam loved traveling and as a result provided wonderful experiences for her clients.

When not in the office, she could be found working outside in the yard which gave her great pleasure. Pam took care of any stray cats that found their way to her door – they were never stray for long after dining at Casa Pamela! The most recent additions to the furry family were Sadie and Jazzie, her two playful and rambunctious Jack Russells.

Pam is survived by the love of her life Charles whom she married on September 26th, 1970. Inseparable until her passing, they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.

She is also survived by brothers William E. Calloway, Sherrill D. Lowder and wife Olga, Gregory A. Lowder and wife Mistie as well as a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws that will dearly miss her presence at family gatherings.

The celebration of Pam’s life will be held at a later time and in lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse or the Charity of choice in Pam’s name.

Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Coggin Family and online condolences can be made at: stanlyfuneralhome.com

Her smile, her laugh and her love will be missed but never forgotten.

Stanly overwhelmingly met or exceeded our family’s expectations. Family and friends both expressed how thoughtful, caring and professional they were. We’re glad you’re in Locust!

We never felt hurried or rushed in any way even though they had other funerals that day.  Everyone at Stanly Funeral Home made us feel like we were family and did everything they could for us in this most trying time in our lives.

Everyone went out of their way to make sure that every detail was good with me.  Their kindness, patience and love they show is superior.  Stephen Aldridge and his ENTIRE staff are the best.

The whole staff was wonderful but Stephen Aldridge was excellent, even sending us a note one month later.
