I had the pleasure of meeting Vernon even before my law enforcement career began in the late 80s. Once I started my career as a law enforcement career Vernon was a important
mentor to me and a role model for many of young officers. My condolences and prayers are with you Donna and the entire Whitley family during this difficult time of your lives! May God Bless and comfort each of you!

Sorry for the families loss. I knew him as Trp. V.C. Whitley as he was an instructor for the 88th Basic Patrol School. He was instrumental in molding many cadets into troopers. He always had profound words of wisdom for us and was quite a character. Great memories.

I sincerely send my prayers and condolences to you all during the time of bereavement. Vernon was a wonderful man of God that I met years ago, while he was a fine trooper in Montgomery County .Who would have thought, that we would end up being neighbors. I’m going to miss our morning walks together throughout the neighborhood, talking about the good old times, during our patrol career.May your family be blessed, while you continue to walk through heaven with the Heavenly Father.

Stanly overwhelmingly met or exceeded our family’s expectations. Family and friends both expressed how thoughtful, caring and professional they were. We’re glad you’re in Locust!

– VJL

We never felt hurried or rushed in any way even though they had other funerals that day.  Everyone at Stanly Funeral Home made us feel like we were family and did everything they could for us in this most trying time in our lives.

-RP

Everyone went out of their way to make sure that every detail was good with me.  Their kindness, patience and love they show is superior.  Stephen Aldridge and his ENTIRE staff are the best.

-DBN

The whole staff was wonderful but Stephen Aldridge was excellent, even sending us a note one month later.
